A week in the life :: Saturday

I was still feeling pretty sick on Saturday despite the antibiotics. June and I went to music class (which she adores) and by the time that was over I was beat. Adam took June to a place like in my banner photo during the afternoon and they hiked. June wanted to walk a lot, but mostly he tried out our hiking/camping backpack for the first time. He said it works great. I feel bad that I didn't take more pictures today. Better luck next year! Thanks for all your comments. This has been a fun project.

A week in the life :: Friday

Today I developed mastitis. And went to the doctor's. And felt fluish. And only took this one picture:

A week in the life :: Thursday

This was a really typical day. I took a picture of the Buddha I see every morning on my walk to work. It makes me smile.

I often go to the gym at lunch time. Love my shoes!

And my work shoes too.

In the evening we had some more play outside. The weather has been cooling off and it is actually enjoyable outdoors finally. Then we headed to a friend's house to watch Palin vs. Biden.

A pretty good day all in all.

A week in the life :: wednesday

I made spaghetti sauce today. It was very yummy, but funny enough I did not take a picture. It was a long day at work and I was very happy to be home.

We got a video recording of June saying, "I'm going to take on the world." As she walks down our street full of purpose.

That girl!

A week in the life :: Tuesday

I couldn't decide what to make for dinner.

I couldn't face adding more to this dish pile.

So, after a little snack and some play in the front yard and street,

We hopped on our bikes,

And went to Brooklyn Pizza.

A nice day all in all.

June is becoming very polite and will say please and thank you and sorry without any prompting.
I wish I could capture how interesting she is. She makes up games, she sings all the time, she laughs with her whole being. She remembers things.
She is an incredible mama's girl, fiercely so. I love it but am ready for her to warm up to her Daddy more. Sure, they play and hug. But she needs me to help her sleep and needs me to carry her everywhere we go. Any advice out there?

A week in the life :: Monday

I am not permitted to take pictures at work. But I took pictures on my walk there and also at my workspace. Here is a sampling of my Monday. These are things I see every day as I walk to work. To be really accurate though, I only walk by BICAS when there is a train because then I cannot cross the tracks and must walk over to the tunnel.

A week in the life :: Sunday

Over the weekend I learned of an online play along idea, a week in the life. I decided to go for it, though I will have to play catch up with my posting and may not get to them each day. I will take the photos each day though, as well as record some thoughts. (Hey that is just like blogging anyway!) But I like the deliberate focus on the every day. Feel free to play along too. I'd love to see what people come up with.

June had a runny nose.

Bread baking made us hungry all day.
Adam demolished the rotten cacti in the front yard in all of fifteen minutes.

I've always liked the stencil graffiti you see around Tucson, though this one is kind of creepy.

I want to take lots of shots with the sky above her.

Where did the weekend go? Saturday was madhouse, Sunday was little chores strung together mixed with sweet moments. Too fast.
