I wish I had more to say about him. Like, he's scaling couches or that he is conversing telepathically with the J-bug. Maybe these things are happening.
What I can say is that we still struggle a bit with nursing. He doesn't stay latched lots of times. He seems to wish my nipple were shaped more like his "plug." He also seems to wish that the milk came out of the breast the way it does out of a bottle, slowly, consistently, and always in high quantity. If I could I would explain, hey little mister, it's the same stuff and this is the source. He gets it when he is sleeping. Unless he can't find the boob.
He has rolled over a few times. Once on my mom's bed about a week ago. Then last night he rolled from his back to his side and almost to his tummy in our bed. It was pretty cool.
He is starting to outgrow the swaddle, but he still really loves the security of it. Generally if he won't sleep for a long time it is because DUH, we didn't swaddle him.
He's been attending Montessori school with June and I love the room he is in. They have nothing but good things to say about him.
He loves to fall asleep with his eyes pressed into my arm, blocking out the light. He will push his little head into my arm, trying to get his eyes covered, and knocking his plug out over and over until he is finally content.
He still gets stinky hands and armpits and well, stinky other places. June was not so stinky I don't think. I know we could bathe him more often, but I think it is perhaps a boy thing.
He smiles a lot, coos, and is generally very affable. I think he is going to be a mellow happy boy... if how he is now counts for anything.
We love you baby Miles!
P.S. My good friend Rene just had her little baby boy too. His name is also Miles. Congrats Rene! I can't wait to see pictures!
So cute! I love the photo of you with him. I can sort of see his little personality there. Wish I was there to squeeze his little cheeks!
ReplyDeleteOh hey, I was just looking back at this post and noticed that blanket. I'm so glad you like it!
