Advice from a house painter
This tidbit comes by way of Bruce, my father-in-law. It is a piece of wisdom that he has carried for about thirty years. He used to own a rental property, and when he was getting ready to sell it he hired a house painter to put a fresh coat of paint on the walls. This man loved his work, and did a great job, says Bruce. Well, they got to talking about life and what to expect out of it.
The painter told him that you only need three things: (1) a person to love; (2) work that you enjoy; and (3) a place to be.
I like this sentiment.
Here are two photos of our kitchen before any work was done. I'll post the "new" kitchen tomorrow. Sorry about the blur.

I always, always, always love comments. (Okay, except maybe not the nasty ones.)
