She's 4!!!

For a long time now I have wanted to do a post devoted to our Miss June.  You see, she is something of a mystery, a whirlwind.  Paradox.  For nearly a year after Miles was born, I could only capture photos of the back of her head.

She is quite contrary.  She is a great debater.  She understands fairness, kindness, tenderness, and love.

She is very devoted to princesses.  And she has a profound fear of the dark, wolves, scratching at the door, and other terrible things.

She is growing up, sideways, all around us, and despite us.

 

Our little Junie love.  I wish I could capture more about you since you change so very quickly.  But for now, I just want to be sure to say:

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

May you always be as tenaciously alive as you are now.  I admire how very you you are.
