Back Story :: June 2004
This was the summer that Adam proposed to me. Bruce and Liz came to visit, we had a Solstice party. I appreciate that this picture documents my former skinny self.
We went to McCarthy and the old mining town of Kennecott. It amazes me that this town grew up in the middle of nowhere in Alaska. And I wondered what life was like there for the settlers. I don't think I could have handled it. The cold, isolation, hard work, lack of variety of food... but wow, the beauty too.
This is Kennecott Glacier.
I suppose I don't have a lot to say about this but I love the photos. I love remembering fun trips like this. I love seeing Adam and I looking a little younger.
I can hardly remember being so carefree, but I liked it.
This last one was almost our wedding invitation. Almost.
